I really have never heard of any special
treatment handling the
seeds...
I believe, it would be eating/digesting any part of the
plant that would give you the problem..
*I would advise to wash your hands maybe
after gathering or sowing the
seeds, but I am not sure you have to go that far, I can't remember doing it myself*
but better safe than sorry........
I have had dogs up on the hill, and we lived next door to my grandmother who had these, and
no dog ever got after them...
Not to say, all dogs are the same..
I would suggest just basically to keep a small eyeball on the pup, and make sure he's not gotten into it at some point..
You'd be suprised that there is alot of poisonous
plants to people/animals there are...
