Yep, Mary. They are teeny, tiny little white flowers. I didn't plant them so don't know where they came from. Dianna

We didn't plant it. We didn't plant our watermelon/pumpkin, either though so anything is possible! Dianna

Sorry, Mary. That is the only pic I have. We bush-hogged the garden to put it to rest for the winter months.
Belinda, could you take close-up pic of yours and post it here?

to put it to rest for the winter months It still hasn't settled in my head yet, that summer is near over....it's still pretty warm out, and no chill in the air like I'm used to in September...but <sigh> I guess it is that time... I'm sure one of our many gardening gurus will be through and ID it for you..sorry I couldn't help

It is like mowing, Catlover, except it whacks it off instead of giving it a clean cut appearance... Still cuts, but not as low as a mower. Dianna

Hey Weezie...wasn't Irish Moss what Jillie was testing out....remember she was planting it with another moss with a slightly lighter color....making wavey lines with it in some smaller bonzai looking pots.????? It was really pretty.

It was a moss, but not a wild one... Like a hybridized one you can buy in the nurseries, etc.. but it's really tight, and short and mounded.. This kind is flat to the ground, but airy like. Same family maybe just a different latin name, that I don't know...

Yesssssss, that's it, I was just looking' under Jillie, not Hollywood..
The lighter green moss is very similar to the one' Dianna has..
The darker green moss is the moss that's breed as Irish Moss for nurseries..
*I am not an expert, so if someone has the names of these or can fine tune it a bit better, HELP*

Weezie, I showed the picture in the link that you posted to Jim and he agreed that it looked just like what was growing. I wish I had potted some up before we cleaned the garden out... Thanks, again! Dianna
