its roots are planted in the mud at the bottom of the pond, then its leaves float on the water. its not a floating plant. my question was, what does the part of it between the substrait and the top of the water look like, because that would be the part you would see in an aquarium.

Woops sorathien...now how come i called u Karrie!!?? Yep...true.. da roots have to b in soil... i too wonder if they r just like lotuses o waterlilies.. if da stems can grow very long to keep leaves n flowers above da water even in rather deep ponds...but this one..well based on mine that is... tho i have a pond n some waterlilies n lotuses..this one is just in a pot...with no drainage hole...but i think da stems can grow long also..s mine spill over da pot n da stems r rather long..how long can they go... Duh
