Angelblossom...The stems look very good on yours and they are growing.

I was thinking about not posting a picture of mine, I don't want anyone to feel bad, just because I got lucky and mine are growing out of control.

I just went and looked at mine...the bottom leaves are very yellow....I had to do a quick re potting of all three of my plants, it turns out they were all root bound....I will post a picture of them in their new pots...but I just found that the batteries are dead in my camera and the spare set are no where to be found...So when the batteries recharge I'll take some pictures.

Wonder of wonders........i planted some seeds back the beginning of January and nothing happened, figured the seeds were no good and started them again.
The ones i planted in January, i never threw them out but put them on a shelf in the laundry room and forgot about them, i saw the container today and figured i would throw them out....I HAVE SPROUTS!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't believe it...I'll keep you posted and when i can post some pics, i will!!!!

Yay Penny..glad you finally got sprouts!!!! Penny you may end up with more plants then you know what to do with.

I am starting to think that too ....need some more

I'm going to post a few pictures..Note the yellow leaves, these pictures are after I made an emergency transplant last night. I lost one leaf while transplanting..I hope the other yellow ones make it and green back up. I transplanted from 3" pots to 6" pots. Started (4)seeds Dec 15, 2006
seeds were sprouting Dec 20-22, 2006
Lost the four sprout..seed never went ahead and developed the sprout properly
First Transplant Jan 9, 2007 into 3" pots (root bound)
Second Transplant Feb 12, 2007 into 6" pots (root bound)

The yellow leaves told me...but if I had of looked at the bottom of the pots I would have seen roots, even though I did place a piece of paper towel over drainage hole...Angelblossom, you transplanted right after I did last time...How big are the pots you have yours in? These things make leaves and lots of roots it appears..I am now worried about finding bigger pots, because these 6" ones I am sure are not going to be big enough. I need spring/warm weather to hurry up and get here before I have to transplant again...I do not have any safe place (to keeps all the cats away)for that large of pots in my house.

Comfrey I have mine in 4 inch pots right now I turned them over and didn't see any roots, guess I need to go to 6"??? I know what you mean about the weather It's snowing outside right now Not much BUT it's supposed to be in 20's @ night and 30's day for the next few days , still no sun shine not for a few days now or for the next few days
Ya' think I should go ahead and transplant?? some of them DO have yellowing lower leaves BUT these are the smaller leaved ones

Angelblossom...better to be safe then sorry, I neglected to pay close attention to mine and it now looks like I will lose all the yellow leaves, since I transplanted...there are all kinds of new leaves forming on the stem under the leaves that are already there..I'll see if I get a picture, my old camera doesn't do very well with close ups..its only a 2 mega pixel and even with the marco on..it doesn't do very good close ups.

Here are some pictures of the leaf buds on the stem under the other leaves...also notice the damage on the yellow leaves...I need to go ahead remove those, but will wait a little longer. Click on any image to make it bigger & open in another window.

Well I guess I know what I'll be doing this week end thanks Comfrey and your camera takes really good picture!!

I still haven't re-potted mine. Guess I will be doing that this weekend...

I cleaned off my desk and I found this info about wonder eggs written on a piece of paper..Don't know where I got it, but thought I would share it:

Wonder Egg plant-Solanum Ovigerum

-Small bright purple flowers, white egg fruit that turns yellow, orange & finally brown when ripe.
-Annual-Put outdoors after danger of frost
-Grows 3' tall, plant 9-12" apart, Full Sun
-Produces egg shaped fruit in 2 months, Bearing 10-20 eggs per plant

im getting my fourth leafs!!!!!!!!!!

My one with the very yellow leaves is still alive and has new leaf buds, but all the other leaves I am going to lose it looks like. The other 2 plants suffered no damage from being root bound..In fact I can see little sticker (like little thorns) looking things forming on the stems and one has what I think is a flower bud forming..I'll try to get some pictures and post and you can let me know what you think.
