her right front tire caught the edge of the pavement, and because of the banking on the curve, instead of being able to correct, she was sucked down the bank, and then hit the tree, causing her to flip. she was going about 5 miles over the limit, but the fog hadn't burnt off, so the ground was wet and the pavement damp.

mel, i will, when she isn't so sore than she only lets me kiss her forehead! i've checked on her several times today, and she is sleeping, but wakes up enough each time to say "thank you mommy, i love you"

the wreck happened just before 9 am eastern time.

Like I said, just wondering...I am SOOO glad she is safe and not hurt any worse. Also glad no one else was in the car- the passenger side was destroyed- it could have been really ugly. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. kissies

kissies for Kate.....

I can't believe you've been in 2 accidents in such a short time.

I couldn't believe it when I read that this morning. You really DO have guardian angels....I believe.

Maybe you should just let your mom drive you around like your own personal chauffeur... wink laugh

Rest yourself and don't overdo it..... angell

I definitely believe in Guardian Angels, Kate.
They have saved my life, too.

Hope you feel better soon...I'm sure you are quite sore right now. Like Loz said...rest and don't overdo it!

kissies

OM Gosh I'm just returning after 3 days and am Just reading up on everything!!

{{{{ kissies }}}} Jiffy and Family! Angels are always around us, and Kate certainly had her guide Angels to get her out from under the car!! And to keep her thoughts together enough to do so, so many people would panic! Kate you are truely Blessed! Automobiles and you will always have a silent passenger(s)..
Kate I don't know you but I DO know you are special in having Angels to help you thru the last few weeks, and that speciality resonates thru Jiffy that comes thru on the Garden Forum so Angels will always guide you thru easy and difficult times..
I truely believe in my signature and that Angels really are among us ,

Jiffy - those pictures are what nightmares are made of. I'm soooooo very thankful that Kate was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured badly.

You all have had more than your share of difficulties lately. I'm hoping that tomorrow is the beginning of a very peaceful and happy summer for you all. Loads of hugs and good wishes for you and your family, Jiffy. kissies

What a horrifying story! What a miraculous outcome!

Kate, it IS truly marvelous when we see our guardian angels in action! I too, am grateful to Him, that your injuries were minimal (considering) & am praying for rapid healing for those cuts, burns, scrapes & bruises.

Be at peace. [Linked Image] God is in charge, indeed!

He was holding her in His hand for that.
Jiffy, I really don't think He was holding her hand through this, I believe He was holding her in His loving arms and surrounding her with His love! kissies

I am just catching up after my working week-end and was horrified to read and see the pictures of Kate's accident. Praises are being given to the One Who helped her to come through this alive.

Kate, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery...

Jiffy,

Well I thought it was not possible, but Kate has passed my record of 2 car accidents in six weeks! laugh I know what she is going through. I am glad that she is ok. kissies It was hard for me to drive after my 2nd accident. I can only imagine how hard it will be for her. I even went to see a shrink shortly after mine. I still have problems driving in the rain. If some one comes up behind me too quick I have a panic attack. If Kate is having the same thing I might be a good idea for her too.

Wow, the old, old break in my collar bone hurts, just looking at that! I think if it weren't for that air bag, hers might have been snapped in two, from the looks of how much pressure was on it from the seat belt! (Have you ever tried to do anything without moving your arm? Trust me, broken collar bones hurt clear down to your fingernails!)

Speedy recovery, Kate! kissies

OMG, I have to get more time to be on here. I haven't had time to go through all the topics. I am so glad that Kate is o.k. Jiffymouse after all those accidents I think it's time to lock her up in the house for awhile. wink
