Praying Mantis's DO eat each other. They'll even try to eat humans if they get a chance. I made the mistake of grabbing a full grown adult when I was a kid. He clamped down and ripped a 1/2 inch long gash in the web of skin between my thumb and first finger. I STILL have the scar it left.

Thornius you mean when I picked up that praying mantis from the tennis court it COULD HAVE BIT ME!!!!! EEK!!

LOL...oh yeah...they bite. HARD! I had three toads in my garden last year, and it was the first year I didn't have to use pestacides. I think I will be scouting the river banks in the spring for some garden residents. wink

I LOVE Praying Mantises, but I only look and NEVER touch (after that first experience). I spent all last Summer looking for one to photograph but never did find one.
