I read somewhere that the seeds
were very small, too. The plants
I have are store-bought (from Lowe's, whose premium plants
have always done very well for me), so I haven't seen any of the seeds
yet. Next year I'm going to try and start them from seeds
don't seem to be fragrant - it's hard to tell because they are next to my gardenias, which are in full bloom (yee-ha!) and a huge Confederate jasmine vine, also in full bloom, the whole yard is so heavy with scent it's almost intoxicating.
One negative thing about lisianthus is that they seem to be very
fragile. I made the mistake of using overhead irrigation and it beat down two of the plants
so bad they almost died, but they are making a comeback.
They sure do produce lots of long-lasting flowers
