Hi hdsporty ~ haven't seen you around for a while!
The
flowers in the background are a wildflower that grows throughout the area. While on a walk a few years ago, I noticed one stem
growing along the roadside - I had never seen it before, so I went home and got a trowel to dig it up. That thing was rooted to China!!! It now pops up all over my garden by runners, but I can usually pull those out pretty easily. It even came up through a small crack in my driveway a few feet away from the main
plant!
I haven't gotten the name of it yet... someone suggested that it might be in the phlox family?
I'll try to get a closer picture today - maybe someone here can identify it.
edit: ok, here's a somewhat closer picture - any closer with this cheapo camera and the pictures are fuzzy...
