I know this'll sound crazy, but my apple tree has just dropped it's leaves ready for winter dormancy, but it also looks like it's about to bloom.

All the buds are silver coloured, and protruding quite far. (almost an inch) Does this sound like normal behaviour for a dormant apple tree?

It's a two year old standard. Not sure what rootstock it is, but it's a Katie fruit.

We have been having a very warm and wet November, and as there are loads of daffodils and crocus popping up through the soil, my bet is everything thinks it's Spring.

Will winter kill everything off????

I wouldn't worry yet, cooler temperatures should come which will stop further development until late winter. Here is a link to a site with critical temperatures for fruit plants at different bud stages. The temperatures shown are in Fahrenheit.

Hi,Im from England too, and have noticed the same with both my apple and pear tree.

Let's hope it's not bad then, otherwise won't be having any fruit next year
