I know this'll sound crazy, but my apple
tree has just dropped it's leaves ready for winter dormancy, but it also looks like it's about to bloom.
All the buds are silver coloured, and protruding quite far. (almost an inch) Does this sound like normal behaviour for a dormant apple
tree?
It's a two year old standard. Not sure what rootstock it is, but it's a Katie fruit.
We have been having a very warm and wet November, and as there are loads of daffodils and crocus popping up through the soil, my bet is everything thinks it's
spring.
Will winter kill everything off????
Many thanks.
