We shop at Walmart alot...just can't beat the prices. Until the other day the only problem I had with them was the loooooong lines they always have. On this day I really woke the managers from their naps
They had a bar height outdoor bistro set that we wanted. It was in the garden center,so I walked over to the cashier(who was NOT busy, just gossiping with the greeter and a friend)and told her we wanted to purchase that item. She looked at us and said "Um,well,I don't know anything about that". I told her to call someone who could help us. She replied "The guy that handles that is on his lunch break, but if you want to check all of the top shelves, you might find it". I told her we would look, but,I expected her to call
someone to help us. She said she would call a stock boy. Wellllllll,tap,tap,tap,pace,pace,pace...10 minutes later NOONE had shown up. I went back over to the cashier and interupted her "important" conversation and told her that noone had shown up to help us and could she call someone again. She told me it wouldn't do any good and that we would have to wait on the garden section guy to get back from lunch. EXCUSE ME! I told her that we would just see about that and proceeded to go to the front cash registers and I grabbed the first customer service manager that I could find. There were ALOT of people that heard what I had to say about the rude, substandard service that I was receiving in their store. Surprisingly she was quite concerned about the quality of service we received and proceeded to escort us back to the garden center. Boy did she get that cashier and greeter hopping! When they couldn't find the set anywhere, she called out 2 other managers. Turns out that the floor model was the last one they had and they let us have it and gave us $20 off for our troubles. The managers themselves loaded the set up and took it to the van for us
I guess you could say we have a love/hate relationship with them too
