Hi, I'm new to this forum, and don't know if this question has been addressed before. I have several rhododendron that have had their leaves, and some of the flower buds, removed by deer. It's been suggested that I cut them all the way back to the ground and that I do it now. Another suggestion was that I wait until after they bloom, then prune them back about half-way. Any thoughts as to how to save these rhodies?

i'd wait until they bloom, then prune however much you are comfortable with. you don't want to prune now, 'cause you'll lose this year's blooms.
