The dead thing is my Canterbury Bells. At first I thought you meant a real bird head, and I was thinking...Darn it! I am putting cow bells on those stinkin' cat's!! But...then I realized you were talking about a plant.

I'm going to guess #7 is fleabane, partly because there is yarrow next to it and both plants are frequently found together. TONY
