Think this is some sort of vine...it was spilling out of someone's backyard fence. At first thought it was a trumpet vine, but the leaves didn't look like it. Was albout to hold the berries but wasn't sure if it was toxic...you can use my hand as a size reference; again, this is a pic from my cell

Kenny, look at some of the images HERE and see if you think it may be Pyracantha coccinea.

I can't tell from your picture if its a tree, shrub, vine??? wink Here's a shot of Pyracantha berries and they look exactly like yours.

Rosie, I think that might be it! I'm not too sure what it is, it was just sorta spilling out into the sidewalk. But the only thing is that there didn't seem to be any thorns on it, I'll go check tomorrow and maybe take a few more pics.

Weezie, I've seen those trees before, I was going to ask but I guess you read my mind!

I am glad I saw this. We have these trees all over and now I know what they are. Thanks for the ID Weezie. They sure are pretty with the orange berries hanging all over the place!

I agree that the berries resemble Pyracantha,
but the foliage is certainly very different
from any "Fire Thorn" foliage that I've ever seen. Duh

Still mystery eh...

Gonna 'dissect' berries tomorrow and show pic. will try to get leaf/berry/stem for analysis (boy do I sound scientific!) I'll scan everything, might make it easier than trying to iden. from a cell pic

I think the color of the berries is a
wee~bit different... but may be cameras',
settings at the URL and even individual computer screens..

If you do a Google search on the Mountain Ash,
there's a few more pictures of them under IMAGES.

I agree with Weezie...it does look like Sorbus acuparia. I had Googled for shrubs with orange berries because I didn't have a clue what he had there and Pyracantha was the first picture. laugh

wink laugh laugh

I know my weeds, flowers and some trees...
*anything I have here. I've investigated
or knew from like birth it seems..
My parents are/were outside/country people,
and my dad loved trees..*

And we have that one in my neighborhood..
and you're in the general area too, where they'd be...
