OP SpringFever_dup1 Member Joined: Mar 2006 Lawrence,Ma	This Popped up in my yard .. It looked like a bulb when it came up.. I have not a clue of what it is or where it came from..Probably a squirrel! Any one have any idea?

Anonymous Unregistered A	Rita, That looks to me to be what we call polk salad, some people call it poke weed. But I have it all around and some members of my family eat it. I dont like it. But just so you know, if it is polk salad (and I REALLY REALLY think it is) it is poisonous unless it is cooked REALLY well. I have seen in your posts that you have kids so I thought you might want to know. If it is polk salad where the flowers are will soon be really pretty bright reddish purple berries, they might tempt your kids because they are so pretty..but they are poison.
