OP TinaTN Junior Member T Joined: Sep 2004 Tennessee	Can anyone tell me what this shrub is? It has spikes on the leaves and gets grape like clusters. A friend of mine didn't want it anymore, but she couldn't remember the name of it.

seedaholic Member S Joined: Sep 2004 uk	This is a Mahonia,not sure which variety you have there but they all have yellow flowers in the spring followed by blueish berries

Arctostaphylos Member A Joined: May 2004 California	What you have is Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape). The name has been changed to Berberis aquifolium.
