Japanese beetles are from grub worms . One thing that works for me is Diatomaceous earth horticultrual grade . Mix it into the top two inches or so of soil where the grubs are present and in planting holes of bulbs and it kills the grubs . But one warning wear a face protective mask , gloves and eye goggles as the stuff will dry out mucus membranes and dry out your skin like mad .

that's interesting that you got Diatomaceous earth to work for you. I have not. I find once it gets wet from the moisture in the soil it looses it insecticidal properties.

Also why are you killing the grubs in blub beds? white grubs, the ones that become japanese beetles feed on turf roots.

well milky spore is only for Japanese beetle grubs but FYI it does not seem to work. (see #5 on my post above)

several of us "bug people" have been trying to find any documentation of it really working and cant really find much.
