They are super tall though I thought sweet williams stayed closer to the ground??

Netty is correct, Rita - they are Dianthus - which is the family Sweet Williams belong to.

The dark pink is sweet williams for sure, cause i have that one,,,,,,Mine got taller this time because of all the rain.
