I have no idea what these are. I am thinking they are poppies--but I've never seen pink ones, only orange and red (thanks to Georgia O'Keefe for that). I'm sure there are other varieties than the californian. I'd like to get some more seeds, as these guys are not reseeding as prolifically as I'd hope.

nope - Mexican Evening Primrose

I took a few cuttings from my cousin's garden 3 years ago, and now they are popping up EVERYWHERE! They reseed very freely, and come up every year despite my efforts to pull them out!

Thanks for letting me know...my mom has these all around her home & she has been telling us all for the last few years that they are moss roses...she will be surprised to know they are not lol:)

Mine are not reseeding so well and it is probably due to the fact that my daughters think the raised bed against the house is their personal sidewalk that is carpeted with flowers just for them. Glad to see that someone knew what they were as, obviously, I didn't!!

My Mexican Evening Primrose looks to be much taller than that, and not nearly as dense though.
