Hopefully There are folks here who can tell me what this beautiful flowering tree I have is and if it would be fairly easy to grow little ones from clippings. [Linked Image] [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

It looks like a purpleleaf sandcherry Prunus x cistena.

cistena are usually multi-trunk & shrublike in growth.

i would go with thundercloud plum

Plantfaerie,

I agree with Rugbyhukr that it is more in the purple leaf plum family than the sandcherry which is usually more bush like. Whichever it is, it sure looks happy!!

a prunus species. there are many purple leaf plums.
