OP Spotter Member S Joined: Jan 2006 SantaFe,Texas	In the woods behind my house the is a half vine / tree thing. It is dark orange around the base has large thorns and has leaves almost exact to a black locust tree.Is it a cross breed?But at the bottom it starts like a regular tree but the spreads out and make a canopy/roof thing with in the winter it has yellow leaves all on the ground which makes it look beautiful because it is evil looking.So anyone got any ideas.Oh and if you dont know what a black locust tree is do a google image search thanks.

RugbyHukr Member R Joined: Apr 2005 SoCal via WV	if it looks like a locst & acts like a locust.... check out the species robinia , the botanical name of the locust. Attached is a google search. See if you find your tree.
