Hello, I wound up with a bunch of plants after my Dad's funeral last month and I just repotted everything. I've identified them all except for this one. I have no idea what this is... Anyone recognize this? Thanks Gisela

Not sure what the plant is, but Will Creed should be along soon, and he can tell you (and us) exactly what it is. Horticulturists are so handy!

Gee, I don't know. The leaves are pretty flat and shiny with smooth edges. I just looked at some online pics of tobacco and it all looks a little rumply... I think I've got an herb catalog some where with tobacco in it. Maybe it's just a differnt kind?
I've been stacking up the garden catalogs for weeks -- must have over 100 by now. I'm afraid to start looking, cos then I'll start buying...

It looks very much like the large leafed ficus. Here is a link so some. My problem is the leaves on your plant are such a lighter shade of green. See what you think. ficus

Could be TK. The leaves on my little guy aren't so pointy, but maybe it's because he's so little. Thanks Gisela

woohoo-i got one! glad to help. I cover the soil of mine with sphagum (sp?) moss to help with the moisture thing and hide the bare bottoms-cute little plant-good luck with it.

Hi, i was looking online for red ardisia advice and came across this posting. Does anyone know why my ardisia's leaves are wilting or how to cure? i only got it a couple of days ago- put it on the windowsill and the leaves were drooping a couple of hours later. I took it away from the sill, watered it and overnight it perked back up but then started wilting again the next day (i was finally careful not to expose to direct light but it still isn't happy). Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe the spot that it is in gets a little too warm for it during the day time?? How damp have you been keeping the soil? I don't think it likes a damps soil, really, just kind of wet....but not really. Do you have a sunny room that it can get put into, but not actually have the direct sunlight???

Hi all, Don't know if this plant is still a mystery but I was wondering if it might be a "ZZ" plant. "Zamioculus Zamiifolia", try www.desert-tropicals.com. Awesome, indestructible plant. I got mine at IKEA. I'm a rookie here and I am looking forward to tapping all the expertise out there. Have a great day all!!
