forget-me-nots!

Love 'em! Mine have just started blooming also.
They will self seed if you let them, and will die out in the heat of summer, but come back a bit when it cools down in fall.

Great picture!

Yup, those are forget-me-nots. Another one of my favorites, but then I love anything blue!

I was at my ex-boyfriend's mother's house yesterday, she's an avid gardener and she had Forget-Me-Nots growing everywhere and they looked nothing like mine except for the looks of the flower. I explained what I had growing and she said she doesn't think what I have is a Forget-Me-Not. After looking through other pics, I can't find anything that looks like mine. My leaves are sooo much bigger and my flowers don't grow on a stem...they bloom right between the big leaves...no height to them whatsoever. So now I'm confused.

What kind of dirt are they growing in???

Regular ole garden soil or a bagged soil????

The dirt they're in was there when we bought this house a year ago...so I don't know exactly what's in there. It's really nice looking dirt though. Good and dark and loose. Why would that make a difference?

If it's a bagged soil like type..
It may contain fertilizers, and most are like a nitrogen based..
Which grows green leaves..
*not much in flowers*

The forget me nots' are considered a weed that does best in the wild in crappy soil...thrives on neglect...
Which when in neglect of sorts, the plants main concern is to flower, produce a seed and keep the plant strain going/living... which means tons of flowers..

Might be, *not 100% sure*, too rich for it...
*making it just leaves* Duh

Well it most certainly has been neglected. It's growing along my fence right beside my laneway. I've done nothing to that bed (yet).
You do believe it's Forget-Me-Nots though?
