This plant is about 3 feet tall, and the leaves and stem are fuzzy like velvet. The top leaves now look like they're getting a tan! They're turning brown, but aren't dry.

Not sure what your plant is exactly, but I found a similar plant while flipping thru a book last night. Tradescantia sillamontana

My plant is fuzzy like that Tradescantia sillamontana (White Velvet), but mine would not fit in a basket. At present, it's about 3 feet tall and each leaf is about 9 or 10 inches long. My mother-in-law only knew that it is some kind of tropical.

I can't believe this thing is still growing. It's got another set of leaves coming on. It is still the weirdest plant I've ever seen. I hope it doesn't get too tall!

If that is the same thing I have, You can take a leaf off it and plant it directly in the soil and it will grow new plants.

I havent had mine long enough to know.
