Kenny,
There is a website ValueSeeds.com and most of the seeds are 49 cents. Amy

Kenny - I always hear about seeds being on sale at WalMart too, but ours never are!

We do have Walgreens that has 10 for $1 at the beginning of the planting season each year, but I have to say the selection is not great at all.

3/$1 is very cheap, I think - I've never even seen that before! Have you tried doing seed swaps, where it only costs postage?

2. red/orange marigolds
3. lantana red/orange
4. fushia seeds pink/white/purple

Just 2 weeks ago our Walmart had seed for 3 cents a pkt.......

They got soggie in the rain this week ..
That was a good deal.......i was told the dollar stores buy the unsold seed from Home depot , repacks them for the following year?

Least that is what the manager told me.

you're kidding I hope...they seeds looked 'legit' from pages seeds. Gonna try asking but not sure if I'll get an answer. soggy seeds can always be redried, not a bad deal at all! You Americans are so lucky that the Walmarts actually have seeds, the last one I checked didn't even have bulbs yet!

I keep looking at seed Savers and thinking I'd like some of what they have - $2.50 isn't a bad price but don't need 100 of anything that I want, like the white cypress or white Italian sunflower, to name a couple. Have never ordered from them - do they add shipping to their cost as well?

I see on *Bay a lot of the things seed Savers has and just bet folks get from seed Savers and resell on *Bay... too much work for me, but I also can't bring myself to pay $2.50 for 10 seeds when I could pay that much for 100 (I have major issues, I know)!

I've thought of ordering from SS and swapping the rest here, but I'm already *nearly* maxed on seeds for my available space, what with what's coming from the swap and all (*very much looking forward to that* Duh

My cheap Scottish heart thanks you in advance for your kind advice. luv

Value seeds.com just updated their website, they added 5 new pages of seed. They are an overflow outlet for one of the big seed companies and they will have only limited stock so buy it now if you want it.I bought $20.00 worth last year and was pretty happy with it,had great germination in almost everything.Bought $20.00 worth this year too, some of the stuff I got is already is already off the site (they had 6 new pages when I ordered).I suspect Thompson&Morgan is the supplier but that is just a guess.

Thanks for the tip on valueseeds.com. I just checked out their place yesterday and posted an order. I'm really excited to get my seeds. Plus, I must echo what's been said before, they must recieve over-flow from Thompson and Morgan. I say this because I ordered some dwarf larkspurs that are "exclusive" to T&M.

I love carnations....I also have a pink large impatient plant (doubles) blooming inside, which was valueseeds order the last time.

They are good.

Glad to help you.
