We have this beautiful fragrant white flowering bush in our yard and are unable to identify it. It is blooming now and we have included photos. Can anyone help us? Thank you!! Kathleen joy

i would guess a privet.

maybe ligustrum lucidum.

i cannot be sure as i don't know where you are located.

It looks like a white lilac to me. I don't know about privets, but a lilac bush is wonderfully fragrant and the scent can carry quite a ways with just a gentle breeze.

Thank you for all the input!! It seems to resemble the privet, except that the leaves are not thick and shiny as they are shown in pictures we looked up. Could it be a hybrid? wavey

ligustrum lucidum is a tree privet & has less thick leaves. I am used to lilac having more of a heart-shaped leaf, not so oblong as what is shown. also, lilac flower petals do not curl back like that.
