The second pix I think I just saw that under njoynit's pictures under 2003 flowers. Listed as a spider lily-crinium. Stated it smelled like Jasmine at night.

Wow, that white one is beautiful!!!! Can't help with the ID but great idea for new category. I notice the mystery plant came up quite often on the other ones. You are so on top of the game, Bill!

The white one is a
Spider
lily. I have them. They have just finished blooming here. They are very easy to divide. Passed some on to my Daughter and they never wilted.Big strapping, shiny leaves, and the flowers are fragrant. They ARE showy!!!!!!!

Jiffymouse, this is for you--------Do you ever get to the Ridgeland area? If you do, let me know.
Can't dig them out now. They are still GREEN and PRETTY. flowers are gone. It will have to wait until they start dying back. I could probably do it now, if it is a must.
I think I could dig a couple up for you. Do I sound greedy or what?
Keep in touch and we'll try to work something out. wink

Hey Enjoynit, I have never planted the seeds, so don't know how long they would take. They spread themselves underground. They are like Glad bulbs.
I think they took about 2 years to bloom. I have had mine for quite a while and I think it depends on what kind of environment they are in.
I moved from a wet area and am now in a very sandy area. I know they don't like the hot p.m. sun. Last year it was so dry that they struggled. This year, they were great. So I think they prefer moist soil. Hope that helps you out a little.

Mom54, YOU ARE GREAT! No, don't disturb frown them right now. I am more than happy to wait. I do get up once in a while, usually when we are just "driving for the sake of the scenery". But one of my best work friends lives there. We will keep in touch. Let me know when they die back and then we will get together!! smile smile smile
