I would really appreciate help identifying this
plant. It looks very much like a trailing style raspberry. Its very prickly with many thorns and spiny hairs. It had its fruit back in June. It produced them in clusters of 6-10 berries. Most odd is each berry was encased in a brown husk that easily could be peeled open. The berries were a very light shade of red and looked exactly like a raspberry and they were hulless. Searched the internet and can't find anything it resembles as far as the husks are concerned. I didn't eat any because I couldn't identify it. Waiting to see if it fruits again in the fall.
They seem to be popping up all over the woods, even found some new ones
growing in my strawberry patch from bird droppings I imagine.
What is this
plant?
