Hi folks!
I have found a
plant that I have never seen before. We have had an unusal
growing season this year here in Wisconsin, so it dosn't surprise me, that some new
plants may be popping up.
I will attach some urls of pictures of the
plant.
It looks like it may be some type of a perennial gloxinia? The bloom is much smaller, then the normal types, but still has the same general shape, and coloration. The leaves also enjoy the a simular shape as well. There are 3 picts
1. Just the
flower, you can see my fingers in it for scale.
2. The entire
plant3. a close up of the leaf ( pen in pict for scale)
The
flowers are deep inside the
plant right along the stalk,
growing in clusters. They are not visible in the picts.
Thanks in advance
Mike
Oh year a second question
I had a caller to the radio show asking a question thatI have no idea what the answer is.
Apparently he was out jogging,a nd he saw a shrub that had changed in into its autumn colors. He said it has oval shaped leafs, and was Barbie pink in color. It was seen
growing in a clump of other simular
plants in the wild. Anyone know what wild
plants change to pink in the fall?
thanks again
Mike
