Here's some new mystery weeds/plants. Help me figure out what's what! smile

This little thing just popped up recently. I had planted some bulbs Mother's Day weekend, but assumed I killed them with the drowning from my blocked downspout. I think they were begonia bulbs. I forget now exactly. Anyways, just wondering, is this a start of a begonia, or just a weed to pluck? Or something else entirely?

Doesn't look like a begonia to me. My guess is bindweed. If so, get every piece of the root. It spreads from root pieces and also from seed. The flowers are pretty white morning glory type flowers, but not worth the bother unless you want it to twine around everything it can reach...and boy, does it spread!

I have tons of that bindweed morning glory stuff all over my yard. My yard is nothing *but weeds*. laugh And yes, I agree that the leaves are similar looking to that ivy stuff.. *however*, this appears to be growing on a stem, in an upright position, not viney. I was only holding it, because it's so little.. and my camera is bad at taking close ups.

Sometimes my bindweed starts out like that--its only a couple weeks later I find it has stretched out. Still, it might be something else, but if you didn't plant anything but begonias there, I wouldn't take the chance!
