does anyone have a clue what this flower is?? I am an amature photographer and found a whole hedge row of these in the field next door. I do not know who owns the area, so can not ask them if they are even wild or cultivated! Please help, it is a beautiful flower and if I can i would like to plant some around my home. the plant itself is about 3-3.5 feet tall right now, the photo was taken about 1 week ago.

Right on, Netty! thumbup The botanical name is lysimachia clethroides, I've also seen it called 'snow candle'. Unlike it's EXETREMELY INVASIVE cousin, purple loosestrife , Gooseneck IS desirable in the garden. It does spread vigorously by runners , but easily controlled. I don't have enough of it! laugh It also looks great in cut flower arrangements.
