OK - who says a weed is an unwanted plant?! In this case, I'm happy to have this volunteer, whatever it is. This pretty, daisy-like plant is growing next to our raised bed. It is about three feet wide and nearly as tall, and has been blooming itself silly for the last month. Anybody know what it is?

i agree with the above... but it DOES look like some type of wild flower. It does look very nice though. Enjoy it!

OK - you may be on to something there, and my niece thought that's what it was. How it got there, I don't know! Don't have any more of it around the neighborhood.

The sunflower is another volunteer, which came by way of the kids dropping seeds on the rocks to "help" me feed the birds!

I think it's called an ox-eye daisy, it gows wild here. many people mistake it for the shasta daisy, ox eye daisies are smalled and come out earlier than shasta daisies.

Kennyso,
Do a google search, on OX~EYED DAISY,
* Here\'s one, with a drawing of the leaves...
Now go back to the original leaves, on the
first picture and look at those..
They are fern like or feathery..
*the ox~eyed daisy is a flat leaf*

Okay here's a in general link to a few Google Searchs on
German Chamomile ...

I'm voting for the chamomile. So - how do I harvest it? I frequently buy the Celestial Seasonings Chamomile tea, but don't know how to harvest this and make my own.

That's an idea! Maybe I'll take in my "not alfafa" weed to them, too!
