This is the information that I found while looking up your plants propogation. Hope it helps.

Tip cuttings taken in spring are easy to start.

The easiest way to propogate it is from cuttings. Take cuttings from non-flowering stems, dip them in root hormone and stick them in moist potting soil. It usually takes around 6 weeks for the cuttings to set root. It does produce seeds, but I've never actually seen the seeds...I've only seen them listed in seed catalogs.

I have one growing from seed that has grape scented leaves, but its a pineapple sage& then have one grown from a cutting.I believe got the cutting in May.I've not had either flower so don't know about seeds.I've grown my cutting for over a year& will probably just plant the thing this year.I have a sunny somewhat sheltered spot to try out.

Txgurlcop....how tall is yours?I've seen them 3 ft but this stupid potted thing is barely 2 ft.I believe melda told me it spread by runners& was why I had potted it.
if have grown 4 years maybe has spread outwards enough that you can divide it for another spot in your yard.

thanks all.
this thing has spread from a little one gallon container to about three foot around and at it's tallest is about 3 to 4 foot tall. it's huge! i cut all the old wood back a couple of a days ago but the runners that has made it to the south side of the house is still growing. i have to keep it cut back because she will choke out a little z.d. rose volunteer thats trying to make it. at least i know now i'm not a total ditz i didn't think i'd seen any seeds. i'll try the cutting. thanks tons!!!

WOW I looked up some picture of Pineapple Sage. Very pretty plant..When does it flower??? Does it really smell like pineapple?

I would put the links up to the pictures but everyone of them had 3 or 4 FREAKIN' pop ups or adware in them..<sigh>> Don't want anybody on this forum mad at me because they got nasty adware in their computer....

TXGurlCop...Can you put a picture up of yours???

Mine blooms so late it's blooms are frequently nipped by a hard freeze . We get a killing frost anywhere from the last of September , to mid November .
I start cuttings in plain water .

oui, as soon as it comes back up in the spring i'll get a pic, like i said i had to cut it way back basically to the ground, and whats on the south side of the house is about an inch or two tall. but as soon as she comes back sure.
she also starts putting out little blooms here around june and keep her heavily watered and she'll keep blooming until about november. i have found out that my hummers don't flock to her like i was lead to believe, but i still like her. the smell of her leaves i really do like. when she comes back up i'll try to get cuttings for anybody that wants one, no problem but bear with me i'm new to the cutting thing shocked sca

Wow , blooms in June ! I wish mine would . I love the plants ...they smell so good , but I would love blooms too . Do yours get full sun ? One of mine gets all the morning sun , but none in the PM . The other one , that I had last year , got sun off and on in the PM .
If I don't mulch mine real well , they freeze and die in the winter . I am in zone 6a .

Marian it pretty much gets full sun until about 4-5 o'clock. if i keep it heavily watered it does great. if not she wilts, i don't mulch at all she dies back and then comes right back when it warms up.
