Do you think you could post that recipe for the smoked pork chops with gravy? If and when you have time. Thanks!

To be honest, it's so basic and simple...
I put 4 or 5 smoked pork chops, with the bone in a large pan, with bone side all facing in towards the middle of the pan...and put it on low...
*I put all the bones sides in to the middle of the pan as usually the pan's middle is the hottest and I want the stuff to eventually carmelize...*that is the trick to it, as far as I'm concerned..*
I put in some water, let is simmer low... and then keep a pie tin pan over it, that way it lets steam out and not build up too much..
Then, I add some butter...one dollop for each porkchop..

Then let it cook down, a slight browning and gelling should happen and then I take out the porkchops, *after all, they are already cooked..
and that's the basic recipe..sometimes I will leave a bone or two in the pan.. they fall right off the bone just about if you cook it slow enough...

But that's all that's in it...

Smoked Pork Chops..
Let it carmelize..
and Butter...

and to be honest....I don't put it on like mashed taters, although it is gooooooooood on it..

I take the pan drippings... still very warm in the pan.....and put in part of a bag of pre~shredded coleslaw...let it just wilt a bit...
Keep stirring... and then eat fasttttttttttt!!!

It's like eating those Hot Spinach Salads somewhat the same concept...

But if you want it *the gravy* like for over the smoked pork chops, I'd add extra water as they're cooking and more butter and you'll have more to drizzle over the pork chops when done..

and you can make an extra pork chop or two and then save those, and make a minced up ham salad mixture with I think Mayo my mom uses'....
She puts it in her chopper, grinds it up and then adds the mayo and maybe celery or something and spreads it on bread..
****I don't.. but she likes it****
I should ask her what else she puts in it..

but the extra chops in the pan when you're cooking it, would give you more juice/pan drippings to make gravy with... thumbup

Do you buy the pork chops already smoked or do you have a smoker?

Already smoked..
Usually a Smith's or Smithfield's..
They are both equally good..
I get them at Wally~World..

You can do the same thing to their Ham Steaks too.. same salty flavor to them...

Funny....neither of us even eat meat. laugh laugh But..most others do, so we gotta' make everyone happy! thumbup Wonder if our men know how spoiled they are? wink

I used to eat them when I was younger,
but really since not liking that much meat
in the first place, I gave them up too...

But that meal above, has got to be one of my
alttttttttttime favoritest meals....
I get done with a huge pan of it, and wished I
had another one the same size...

The Smoked Pork Chops are in the ham section at the Wally~World, do you have one near you???

Canadian Walmart is much different than yours. They've just recently started selling frozen foods, cheese, etc but I'm positive there's no meat.
