Hey All!
I saw a post that mentioned chocolate mint. Where do you get that from? I would really really like to plant some of that (in a pot though; I've heard mints are extremely invasive).

Hey cookinmom. it was probably me who posted about the chocolate mint. I just found mine in the garden section at RiteAid.
Mine is in a pot on the back porch and I don't have to do anything to it but water every now and then. it is thriving.
If you can't find any, let me know and I'll try to figure on how to send you a cutting (will mint grow from cuttings?)or two.
and we can hope they last the trip cross country.

I usually find a few of these plants among the other mints in the herb sections of nurseries. Even Home Depot has them from time to time - they do go fast though. You have to dig through the spearmints, catmints, etc to find them...

Chocolate mint is fun.
Bruise a leaf, close your eyes, think of a Peppermint Patty candy bar, breathe in and ah.... bliss....

If anyone finds it and is willing to share a cutting can I be put on the list. I don't have a seed exchange list up this year yet but I'm working on it. I would so like to add chocolate mint to my starter collection of mints. So far I have peppermint and pineapple I think.

I'd be happy to have it at any time. I'd just keep it indoors until next year. lol.
