OP sammy papa Junior Member S Joined: Jul 2006 akron ohio usa	Just found this sight..Think its great..lots of info...do have a question about brussel sprouts.The plants seem to be doing great,but never having grown them before don`t know where the actual brussel sprout grows.on the stalk?Do they take along time to mature? thanks

johnCT Member J Joined: Aug 2005 Connecticut	Welcome. I've only grown them once. They do grow right on the stem itself and from what I remember they mature in the 80-100 day range I believe.

markr Member Joined: Jan 2006 essex england	yes they do grow on the stalk, you should be able to see them just above the leaf joint. they are classed as a winter crop, but ive picked early-sept, but most come dec onwards. they taste better after a few frosts
