OP pagarden Member Joined: Jun 2004 NE PA	my mom sent me this picture- sorry for the quality, it's from her phone--- [img]http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d832b3127cce8a5b7ecd71d600000016100BbtWzduyYsZ[/img] we've always had aloes growing outside and they could be years old but have never seen these. she said this one already flowered and then she found these things. could they be seed pods? in all the years we've had aloes i've never seen a seed pod. i thought they just sent out babies- that's how we always got more. any info???

margaret e. pell Member M Joined: Jan 2005 Rhinebeck, NY USA	Yes, those are seed pods. Most aloe are not self fertile, so you probably had 2 blooming at the same time. Anyway, when they get dark and dry they'll crack open and drop the seeds. Aloe are fairly easy to grow from seed, so good luck with them!
