My polka dot plant has gotten rather pale in the last two weeks. You can still see the spots, but they have faded. Does this indicate it needs MORE sunlight?

The Polka Dot plant (Hypoestes phyllostachya) needs bright light but not full sun. Older foliage will often fade at this time of year but the dots will probably be bright again on the new spring growth.

I bought this plant about a month ago from Wal-Mart when it was still quite small. It is now about 5 inches tall, but pale. I'm encouraged that it is growing although it doesn't look nearly as lovely as the specimen in your photo!
