I first made these at camp then came home and found that I could do them even better in an oven than on a campfire

Cut Chicken into small pieces and cook in microwave

Set oven to approx 400 F

lay out tortialla shells on baking tray
spread ingredients only on one half

layer of salsa
add pre-cooked chicken
add any other veggie you like, such as green peppers or onions.
cheese (which ever variety you like, I prefer to use either cheddar or havarity, but others can be used for variety)

fold shell in half, sandwiching the ingredients.
(don't put a second shell on top of a full one as its harder to flip

bake for about 5 minutes, flip them over and bake for another 5 minutes

Serve with Sour Cream, Salsa or as is

That sounds really good, and quick and easy!

Thanks for sharing!

I think I'll try that recipe while we're on vacation. When we make taco salads, we slice the chicken and cook it in taco seasoning that you can get for ground beef. Thanks for the recipe!

Do you use just regular sized shells or are there a larger size of them somewhere?
