I have about 40 baby House Sparrows and notice there are about 5 or 6 daddy House Sparrows doing most of the feeding, at least once the babies leave the nest. While they are in the nest the Mamas do the feeding. You hear the Mama House Sparrows CONSTANTLY urging the babies to leave the nest. No empty-nest syndrome as far as the Mama house Sparrows are concerned.

Wrennie Member Joined: Apr 2006 Phoenicia, NY	I have a load of baby and parent chickadees coming to the feedrs now. One baby didn't even flinch when i hung the refilled feeder right under his feet. He just looked at me. I think he was waiting to see if I'd feed him.
