i bought a few avacados from the grocery store and saved the pit. i planted them indoors in potting soil and now have 3 "saplings" almost a foot tall. the leaves however begin to curl then get 'crunchy' and fall off....anyone know why?

also i bought some ginger root and placed a chunk in a shot glass- it has started to root but i havent a clue about growing ginger plants!

today i planted some cumquat seeds- i will see what happens with those! wink

I have never had luck growing an avocado plant higher than 3 feet - I hear they are very difficult to grow! If you have any success, please let us in on your secrets - and post pics!!
