OP Shawn M Member S Joined: Apr 2006 Korea	Hello everyone. I have ran out of the compost I was working and need to fill some more containers for my veggies. I got my hands on some 5 year old chicken manure and was wondering what % I should add to my dirt. The dirt I will be using came from around the same farm I got the chicken manure. The only thing I have left to plant are some peppers, 1 tomato plant, and a few cucumbers. I've only used compost from vegetable matter in the past so any help would be appreciated! Shawn

Longy Member Joined: Sep 2004 East Coast	I wouldn't add too much to your potting soil. Although it should have composted enough to remove the heat, it is still a potentially volatile fertilizer. Maybe shovel full to a wheelbarrow, about 50:1 i guess. You can always make a liquid fert later if you think it needs more.
