Ok i am wantting to grow greens for salads in contianers and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the type of containers that would work best for this. I am looking at growing these inside under florencet lights since it is still so cold outside. And if anyone has any suggestions about where to find the containers too smile

depends on whether you intend to grow full size greens or "baby" greens for the size of the container.

for baby greens you can pretty much use any size container and seed it thickly. they will grow to about 3-4 inches tall, and depending on the variety they will replenish themselves.

for full a full size letuce plant check this site, they sell letuce, but also have a guide for container sizes

good luck

Still have the seeds for the greens but ended up putting some strawberries in the pot I picked up for them doh! Still want to grow them though but going to have to pick up another pot now. smile
Thanks for asking though.

I won't pack it so filled next time...
There was tooooo many in the one pot...
Should have thinned them out but wasn't sure in the beginning who would make it or not..

But that was quite easy to do, and enjoyed it...
I could move it around too, which made it nice..
