I know traps on a vft can die after they eat but one thing I dont understand is do they just die or do they still give food to the plant?

Awnsers will be appreciated greatly.

Yes, they can still supply food to the plant 2 ways - the digestive juices, and photosynthesis. At what point it stops giving food (the point at which it ultimately stops and completely turns black) is unclear. Hope that helps!

Another question. If a trap is starting to go brown not because of eating a bug but because its cycle is comeing to a close, should I cut them off so the plant can concentrate on making more traps or should I just leave them be?

You can cut off dieing traps or just leave them alone. After all, in the wild nobody goes around cutting off traps!

Let nature take it's coarse!
