Got these cactus last fall when they were dug up and threw away. Here is the first bloom from them.
[Linked Image] If you can see it there is another bud fixing to open right under this bloom.

They are really pretty, Jimmy. I don't like cactus prickles but I love the blooms.

Tina I love eating them just hard to get the spines out and makeing sure you don't leave any. so I just raise them for the flower now. Diane only thing I have put on them is water and dog waist. Dogs think my cactus is their personal bathroom always having to clean it out because of them.

In my opinion cactus has one of the prettiest flowers there is. I remmeber in New Mexico in spring after a rain mainly the desert just seemed to be in full bloom. Also when I drove acorss Arizona was so pretty when all the cactus was blooming. Just had to dig some on mine up( not those above)because rain was drowning them. Can't when ether no rain or too much at a time. frown

Oh Jimmy, that is beautiful! thumbup I'm not really a cactus lover because when I was little I touched one that was real soft and fluffy looking! NOT!!! eek My mom was using tape for days to try to those darn prickly things out of my hand. eek So, I learned very early not only that, "You can't judge a book by it's cover", but you can't judge a cactus by it's looks! frown ters
