Mint does flower, but the plant needs to be mature enough. Mints have a tiny pinkish lavendar flower.
It's possible that some mints don't flower-I bet Comfrey would know.
My chives are in bloom now, they have an aster-like flower that's lavendar and very pretty, about the size of a walnut.

Another question. How do you harvest the seeds from the mint and chives?

I've never done it. I really admire all of these people working with seeds. I have little if any patience and almost always buy plants.
I have read here that mint grown from seed isn't very good. That the mint doesn't come true unless it's grown from a cutting. Mint is SUPER easy to grow in a glass of water.
I like to use it as a kitchen plant "bouquet".

not sure about the seed staring. but they both do well just taking some from the mother plant. mint you can just pluck a good size stem, set it in water and wait for roots and then plant it. it's grows like a weed. chives- i just split every year or 2 and divide and give away the excess- they just multiply too. i've never seen my mint flower but it could be because i do pinch it back when it starts sprawling too much. cives are bloomin right now. smile
