hey i have some monster tomatoes that are still on the vine and VERY green. Do i let these stay on the vine till they are red? I mean these are more than a fistfull!

Danno, we've had a bit of discussion on this...at least wait until you get some "blush" before picking...ripening on the vine would be great, but pests and critters could get 'em before you do. I've noticed that larger fruit take forever to ripen, and this year in particular I've already lost a few to pests...I'm keeping a close eye on things, and picking some early to ripen inside. The fruit seems to get better, ripened inside, as the season goes by.

Patience young Jedi!

Yeah, let them get a least halfway ripe before picking. Be careful though....the birds in your yard are just as impatient as you are!
