I am a beginner in growing and gardening. When my wife and I married 3 years ago we bought a money tree for good luck and prosperity(sp). It has grown tremendously over the years, and up until recently has given us no reason for concern. Two days ago I brushed by its happy little spot in the kitchen bay window and discovered it was leaking a clear sticky sap like substance from its leaves!? This is a first, and other than this strange liquid, it appears to be very healthy. I'm just trying to find out what this is, if its something to be concerned about, and what I need to do to prevent it from continuing!! Please help.

mine did that for a little while when I had them in a spot that didn't get much fresh moving air. it was also humid.

I just gave the leaves a gentle wipe and it hasn't come back.

I'd give that a shot first before panicking or doing anything drastic.

Thanks! I'll try both those techniques. Right now its definitely not getting a whole lot of air circulation, and the maybe it doesn't want to be facing the north?
