Anyone tried this?
Take a plastic water or soda bottle, cut it in half,Take the top, turn it upsidedown, looks like a funnel right!
The Other part looks like a cup!
Now take the top half and slice it in half vertically.Be careful.
Now you use rubber bands to hold the 2 pieces together(looks like a funnel again!)
Put news paper in the bottom, fill with soil, add a cutting from your favorite plant.
Fill the bottom half with water, set the top half into the bottom and PRESTO!
Instant starter for cuttings!

Easy to see the water level, keeps soil moist from the bottom up!
Roots form and grow down searchin for the water!
When the roots show through take off the rubber band and there ya are,...
A new plant!

That is realllllllly a great idea cool kissies ....
Thank~You for sharing that...

I use the pop bottles/juice cotainers..

I cut the very bottom off, and put the top part into the ground, with the cut off bottom up
in the air.. and use that to water the roots on my plants... like acorns, etc type plants that are alllllllll leaves and can't see to water..
*I am pondering the idea of taking PVC piping and putting that into the ground and duct taping the top part of the bottle, into the hole and having the cut end up on top...... cause when you can't see way down underneath all the leaves.....

The thing will be up in the air, you won't have to struggle to find it, and it will be waist level..

Good idea there too Weezie.

I use the pop bottles but have not ever cut them in half vertically, just push them down into the cup and also cut a hole in the cup part to make filling it easier. They work great cuz you do not have to water them constantly.
