i have a bunch of various plants in my room. there seems to be lots of tiny black/gray winged flying insect buzzing around them. they are the size of about a dot (.) how do i get rid of them? i have various different plants so i don't want to save one and kill the others...

here's a list...

xmas cactus (newly propagated)
2 unknown cacti
1 peace lily (newly propagated)
1 jade plant (newly propagated)
2 bonsai ficus retusa (1 recently revived/rescued)

i just recently started having plants and most of my plants are fairly weak and just started with new growth after propagation and recovery... what can i do to get rid of these insects w/o damaging my plants?

Are they fungus gnats? If they are, it's prob (don't mark my words on this) your soil...they come from a type of fungus note the name fungus gnats. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, I end up just tossings my plant away (the ones that have those gnats on the soil, look closely, they're hard to see)

I would soak my plants, pots and all, in a bucket of water to drown the little critters...
